Visceral Morphology – A New Show at ONE Modern Art
ONE Modern Art is pleased to present Visceral Morphology, an exhibition exploring the shifting nature of form through the eyes of two artists: Steven Larson and Frank McEntire.
The first word that comes to mind when experiencing Steven Larson’s paintings is morphing. His work moves like memory—part landscape, part figure, part fleeting sensation. Color, mass, and motion collide, drawing you into a dreamscape that feels both deeply personal and just out of reach. These are paintings that remember for you.
Frank McEntire builds meaning from the discarded—assembling cultural leftovers and deconstructed spiritual symbols into sculptural works that challenge and surprise. His pieces walk the line between humor and reverence, offering a layered critique of what we keep, what we toss, and why we believe what we believe.
Together, Larson and McEntire bring distinct visual languages into the same space—one rooted in atmosphere and gesture, the other in assemblage and object. The result is a gallery experience that feels otherworldly, layered, and alive.
